3 Beautiful Things

Here are three beautiful things I encountered this week.

1. The Wild Robot.

   

   
   I saw this movie this week, and while the plot was somewhat derivative (it’s basically Dances With Wolves if Kevin Costner were a vaguely female robot), the animation and the soundtrack were simply gorgeous.

2. The Energy Curfew Music Hour.

   

   This podcast defies description. Imagine in the near future that the power grid had to go offline for a day each week to make upgrades. Now imagine the last hour before you lost power each week, there was a radio show hosted by Chris Thile and Punch Brothers (if you don’t know this band, check them out) with a host of special guests like Vulfmon, Jon Batiste, and James Taylor (!!!). It’s delightful!

3. William Blake’s poem “A Poison Tree”.

   I love, love, love William Blake’s poetry.
