Washing dishes in gratitude
The blessings of a church family
I did three
sets of dishes, dried them, and put them into three paper sacks.
One contained white chicken chili, a second chicken and rice, and the third black bean soup. All were delicious.
They arrived at my house as a gift, a blessing from members of my church who wanted to bless us as my wife recovers from surgery.
As I return the cleaned dishes tomorrow at church, I get to thank my brothers and sisters for their generosity. I could have cooked, but I didn’t have to. And that was a great blessing.
This is what family does. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a church family who cared for us and looked out for us. It’s nice. And I’m so grateful to God for them.
